We’ve designed it to tell you all about the wide range of high quality made-to-measure foam and fibre products we can supply for virtually any purpose, including new and replacement seat cushions for suites and armchairs, window seats, garden furniture, mattresses, mattress overlays, etc. for the home, caravans, motor caravans and boats – plus many other applications! We can also supply new permanent upholstery as well as made-to-measure removable washable seat covers.

Who are we?
And how did we get started?

We are a family run firm based in Bristol. The origins of our business are in the caravan furnishings industry and go right back to 1988, to a wooden hut beside the beach in Somerset, which you can see below, was nearly washed away by a huge wave coming over th sea wall!

Then, 15 years ago, we recognised that there were many people throughout Britain who wanted to purchase good quality foam products made exactly to their requirements, but in many cases the most knowledgable supplier they could find was the man on their local market standing at the back of his van cutting up chunks of any old foam with a carving knife!

So we set about creating 'Foam for Home Direct', with the aim from the outset of providing friendly, knowledgable advice to customers all over the U.K. who wanted the reassurance of dealing with a professional Company that knows (we like to think!) what we are talking about!

As well as supplying foam products and services we are very experienced in the loose cover and upholstery side of the business, and indeed the covering of our customers’ foam orders is a large part of our business.

We are proud of the growth and success of our business in the last 15 years and our staff numbers have gradually increased over the years to accommodate the amount of customers we deal with. Over the years we have been in business, we have gained a vast amount of experience in understanding what our customers are looking to achieve and advising them which of our products will exactly meet their requirements.

Prices

Many of our customers cannot believe how our prices can offer such value for money. The answer is simple. Our foam starts life in the form of huge blocks – some of which can weigh almost 1/4 of a tonne! Then the latest technology is used to slice the blocks down to whatever size of sheet we require.

Finally our skilled craftsmen (and ladies!) hand fabricate the foam as required. This formula brings our customers exceptional value for money combined with good old fashioned made-to-measure hand finished products.

Free delivery

We offer free delivery on all Cut-to-Size Foam orders over £100 being sent within mainland U.K. Orders of less than £100 will incur an £8.95 fee to cover handling, postage and packaging. This £8.95 fee will be waived if orders are collected from our premises.

Payment

Our online ordering system enables you to pay securely by credit or debit card. However, if you prefer you may call us with your card details or of course post us a cheque. Please note: As all our items are made-to-measure, to your specific requirements, your card will be debited when we receive your order.

Shipping

We use Royal Mail and other carriers to deliver all sizes of order, from a small seat cushion to a king size mattress, and everything else in between!

Orders CAN take up to 21 days to despatch, HOWEVER most orders are despatched within 7 days. If you have a specific deadline PLEASE advise us when ordering.

Free delivery is included on Cut-to Size Foam orders over £100 to addresses in mainland U.K. Orders below this amount will incur an £8.95 fee to cover handling, postage and packing. This £8.95 fee will be waived if orders are collected from our premises.

Deliveries to other addresses, e.g. Scottish Islands, will be subject to an additional charge. However this will be advised to you, for your approval, before we commence your order.

Overseas Orders

We regret that at present we are unable to accept orders from outside the U.K.

Warranty

As a family run business our reputation for good service remains paramount, and so for your complete peace of mind our products carry a full money-back guarantee against any defect in materials or workmanship.

Returns

As we supply items to your individual requirements and also for hygiene reasons, goods cannot be exchanged or returned with the exception of goods or workmanship being defective. This does not affect your statutory rights.
